TOKYO GX ACTION x 2026 Tokyo E-Prix PR Event

 
 

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is implementing TOKYO GX ACTION to accelerate Green Transformation (GX)—the shift from a fossil fuel-based society to one centered on clean energy.

As part of this initiative, a PR event will be held at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building to generate momentum for the upcoming Formula E race, scheduled for July 25–26, 2026, in Tokyo. The event will focus on the city’s first-ever night race and feature displays including a Formula E model race car and related exhibits.

  • Hours: 9:30–18:45 (After the opening ceremony on April 14)

  • Program Highlights:

・Introduction to TOKYO GX ACTION
・Racing driver Juju Noda will share insights on how to enjoy Formula E and discuss Tokyo’s first-ever night street race
・Jeff Dodds, CEO of Formula E Operations Limited, will visit Japan and provide the latest updates on the event

  • GEN3 Evo* model race car display
  • Exhibit panels explaining TOKYO GX ACTION and Formula E

*The Gen3 Evo regulation was introduced at the 2024/2025 Formula E World Championship season

About TOKYO GX ACTION

  • Key Message: “Let’s make a change, for the future of energy and Tokyo”
  • Objective:

Accelerate GX initiatives that support the transition from a fossil fuel–based society to one powered by clean energy, with goals of 50 percent carbon reduction by 2030 and carbon neutrality by 2050. Through year-round activities, the project seeks to raise GX awareness and encourage behavioral change among all Tokyo residents and widely share information on the latest GX technologies.
