Performances at Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre
At Tokyo Bunka Kaikan and Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, two of Tokyo’s cultural facilities, performances will be held as detailed below.
Taking into account the relevant guidelines for disease prevention, appropriate disease prevention measures will be taken in the hall and theatre from now on.
There may be changes to the schedule, so please check each facility’s website and social media accounts for the latest information.

2 Information for visitors

Requests for visitors
- Please do not visit if you have a high temperature (over 37.5 degrees Celsius) or a cough/throat pain.
- Please do not visit if you have been to an area or country which the government has placed entry restrictions on and requires those who have entered Japan from that country to undergo an observation period. This applies if you have been in close contact with someone who meets the above criteria.
- Please ensure you wear a mask, practice cough etiquette, and wash your hands. Those without a mask will not be permitted to enter.
- Your temperature will be measured at the entrance to the facility.
- Please try to keep a 2 meter distance from other visitors within the facility.
- Please do not converse in a loud voice.
Precautions to be taken at facilities
- Staff will have their temperature and health checked daily.
- Staff will wear masks and/or face shields.
- An acrylic sheet or pane will be set up at counters.
- Disinfectant will be provided at entrances and exits.
- Facilities will be cleaned, disinfected, and ventilated thoroughly.
- Seating arrangements will keep a distance between visitors.
- Seating arrangements will be set-up to minimize the possibility to eat or converse face-to-face in areas such as lobbies.
- Hand dryers in toilets will not be used.
- Some shops in the facility may be closed or have shortened opening hours.
- In the case a member of staff or a visitor is infected by the virus, the situation will be dealt with appropriately in conjunction with the local health center. If necessary, details will be shared online via the facility’s website. (As a precaution, it is advised that you keep a record of when you visited the facility.)
