Commemorative Ceremony on the Eve of the Opening of the Renovated Edo-Tokyo Museum
On March 30, Governor Koike attended a commemorative ceremony held on the eve of the opening of the renovated Edo-Tokyo Museum in Sumida Ward.
The governor said, “After a four-year closure for its renewal, the museum will finally reopen tomorrow. I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the officials concerned, residents in the neighboring community, and everyone present here today for their dedicated efforts. The Edo-Tokyo Museum is an important hub for widely promoting the appeal of Edo culture. We will strive to enhance its appeal further so that it becomes such an ‘icon of Tokyo’ which not only Tokyo citizens but also holidaymakers both from home and abroad would be willing to visit time and time again. I hope you will fully enjoy the renovated Edo-Tokyo Museum.”
