‘Tokyo Teshigoto’ Project Product Presentation Event
On May 26, Governor Koike attended the “Tokyo Teshigoto” Project Product Presentation Event held at the Otemachi Mitsui Hall in Chiyoda Ward.
The governor stated, “Congratulations to all the development teams that have received awards, including the Tokyo Governor’s Award. I would also like to express my gratitude to all the participants for their meticulous teshigoto (handiwork) that finished each item. I am deeply moved to see that the masterful techniques passed down since the Edo period are clearly reflected in these products, and I believe they will be the products chosen by many people both at home and abroad in the future.
“I hope that these products, which represent the culmination of master craftsmanship, will be powerfully disseminated to the world, allowing many people to directly experience their excellence and become fans. “The Tokyo Metropolitan Government is also extending strong support for promotional activities, such as participating in domestic and international exhibitions. I hope you will hone your craftsmanship and continue to create wonderful products,” she said.
