Unveiling Medal Design for World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 with 100 Days to Go
Governor Koike attended the media event at Azabudai Hills on June 5, celebrating 100 days to go until the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (WCH Tokyo 25).
The Local Organising Committee of WCH Tokyo 25 held the momentum-generating event to mark 100 days until the international sports competition starts on September 13 at the Japan National Stadium. Sports Director Murofushi Koji, Special Ambassador for WCH Tokyo 25 Oda Yuji, and Organising Committee Head Takeichi Takashi also joined the governor to unveil the medal design.
“We have 100 days to go until the opening of the World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25. I’m excited to have the world’s top athletes competing right before our eyes. I also sincerely hope the people in Japan and Tokyo will feel increasingly passionate about sports, and above all, that the Japan National Stadium will be packed, with people embracing sports even more,” said the governor.
