Sea Forest Waterway Reopening Event “Umi-no-Mori SPRING FESTA” to be held from Friday 29 April 2022 (national holiday)

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) announces set details about the Sea Forest Waterway reopening event, which was announced on Thursday 24 March 2022, as follows.

1.Date/Time

Friday 29 April (national holiday), Saturday 30 April, Sunday 1 May, Tuesday 3 May (national holiday) – Thursday 5 May (national holiday) in 2022
Each day from 10:00 to 16:00
*Stage events will be held on 29 April.

2.Location

Sea Forest Waterway (3-6-44 Uminomori, Koto-ku, Tokyo)
[Access] Use the free shuttle bus service from the Kokusai-Tenjijo Station on the Rinkai Line.

3.Content

1)Stage Events (Only on 29 April)

• Video message from Governor Koike
• Talk session with Olympians, Paralympians, and others
• Taiko drum and dance performances, and live music

2)Sports Experience Programs

• Detailed plans will be announced on the facility's website (in Japanese).
• Applications to participate will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis from 9:00 on Saturday 23 April.
• Participants can join on the day if there is space available.

3)Other Contents

• The Tokyo 2020 Archives Assets, etc. There will be an exhibition area for items related to the torches from the torch relay and sports competitions, and a food court.
• There are also plans for a stamp rally where you can enjoy touring each facility.

1. Although COVID-19 countermeasures will be in place at the facility, please note that the above-mentioned details may change due to changes in conditions.
