The 22nd Meeting of the Edo Tokyo Kirari Project Promotion Committee
On March 26, Governor Koike attended the “22nd meeting of the Edo Tokyo Kirari Project Promotion Committee.”
The governor said, “It has been exactly 10 years since we launched this project in fiscal year 2016. Under the concept of ‘Old meets New,’ we had discussed how to bring out and promote the appeal of innovations and traditions. As a result, we have made many achievements, including collaborations with high-end brands both at home and abroad, features in influential media outlets, and expanded business opportunities.
“Not standing still here, we will further enhance the project’s overall ability to convey messages and focus on strengthening the branding power of the Edo Tokyo Kirari Project in the future. In fiscal year 2026, we will establish a hub to showcase the craftsmanship of artisans from Tokyo and across the nation. We will work together with all of you to ensure that Tokyo’s treasures grow into global treasures that would be loved by people around the world,” the governor said with emphasis.
