Setagaya Rugby School Members and Officials Make Courtesy Visit to Governor Koike
On September 1, players from the Setagaya Rugby Football School, Mr. Hashimoto Goro, the school’s principal, and Mr. Ogawa Hiroo, chairman of the Setagaya Rugby Football Association, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Koike.
This visit was to report that their team has qualified for the Taiyo Life Cup 2025 16th National Junior High School Rugby Football Tournament and to express their determination for the tournament. Earlier this year, they won the championship in the boys’ division of the 19th East Japan U15 Junior High School Rugby Club Tournament in fiscal year 2025.
Governor Koike said, “I wholeheartedly support you all, hoping the fruits of your daily practice will now blossom at the national tournament. I also express my respect to the coaches, and all involved who have guided and supported the players. Despite the heat, I sincerely hope you fight your way through, create wonderful memories, and let those become energy for your future. Keep up the great work.”
