Tokyo Doctor-Heli EMS Begins - Tokyo Metropolitan Government
The TMG has decided to launch a new Tokyo Doctor-Heli EMS in the Tama region to further enhance the emergency medical care system.
What is the Doctor-Heli?
A helicopter equipped with medical equipment and medicines necessary for emergency medical care rushes to the scene of emergencies with a doctor or other medical personnel on board to start treatment and transport the patient to a medical institution as quickly as possible.
1. Overview of Tokyo Doctor-Heli
(1) Operating Hours
From 8:45 a.m. to sunset
(2) Dispatch Requests
The fire department receives a 119 call, determines the severity of the patient's condition, etc., and makes a request.
(The general public cannot make direct requests.)
