Friendly Boccia Tournament held among the diplomatic missions and four schools in Tokyo
On Tuesday, November 19, Governor Koike attended the Friendly Boccia Tournament held among the diplomatic missions and four schools in Tokyo, held at Sea Forest Waterway.
There were 100 participants, consisting of officials from 10 embassies, including the United States, China, and France, and 80 students and others from Fuchu Keyaki no Mori Gakuen, Ariake Nishi Gakuen, Tokyo Metropolitan Mitaka Secondary School, and Omori Dainana Junior High School. After the students and embassy personnel had lunch together and toured the venue facilities, they enjoyed playing boccia. Governor Koike presented the winning and runner-up teams with trophies at the awards ceremony.
Following greetings given by the French Ambassador on behalf of the embassy teams, Governor Koike expressed her hope that “Tokyo can successfully pass the baton to the Paris 2024 Games.”
