Paralympians Dazzle With Competitive Demonstrations! TOKYO PARASPORTS FORWARD to be held on
September 22 (Sunday and national holiday) at Bellesalle Akihabara
The Paris 2024 Paralympic Games is approaching. The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold TOKYO PARASPORTS FORWARD, an event where everyone can watch and experience parasports up close. 3x3 Wheelchair Basketball and para archery demonstrations, along with nine other parasports events, are expected!
At the event, the staff and cast of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Opening Ceremony, along with new collaborators, will announce a new stage production.
The Special Stage will be hosted by Goro Inagaki, Tsuyoshi Kusanagi, and Shingo Katori. Advance applications for the Special Stage will be accepted from today until Saturday, August 31. We look forward to seeing you at the event! Guest athletes for the Special Stage will be announced on the official website at a later date.

Main Events
- Special Stage (Talk show featuring Paralympians hosted by Inagaki, Kusanagi, and Katori)
- 3x3 wheelchair basketball and para archery competition demonstrations
- Nine parasports experiences and exhibitions; white cane/prosthetic leg/universal communication experience etc.
- The announcement of a new stage production which will carry on the legacy of Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Opening Ceremony
- Tokyo 2020 Mascots Miraitowa and Someity, an exhibition of Tokyo 2020 Games archives assets, etc.

As Tokyo will host the World Athletics Championship and Deaflympics in 2025, this initiative aims to create opportunities for Tokyoites to explore and discover their favorite sports, i.e., sports to their liking.
