Governor Meets with Re-elected Mayor of Higashikurume
On March 30, Governor Koike met with Tomita Ryoma, mayor of the Higashikurume City, who was re-elected last December.
Mayor Tomita stated, “Higashikurume (western Tokyo) still faces a mountain of challenges, but I believe that every crisis is an opportunity. I intend to continue doing my utmost to contribute to the development of our municipal administration with the support of the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.”
The governor said to Mr. Tomita, “Congratulations on your election to a second term. Going forward, I hope we can work closely with the Tama area and the Higashikurume City to achieve sustainable growth. From a broader perspective, I hope we can support the various potentials of Higashikurume in the best possible direction.”
