Governor Koike has been selected as one of TIME magazine's "100 Most Influential People" in the "Pioneers" category.

Below is a statement from the governor:
"It is indeed an honor to have been selected for the TIME 100. Currently, I am leading the grand reform of Tokyo to realize a New Tokyo - one that is a truly global city. This honor encourages me to work even more closely with my fellow citizens of Tokyo for the sustainable development of the city, in preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and beyond."
