Multi-lingual Announcement System Installed at 12 Venues of the Tokyo 2020 Games!
We are pleased to inform you that the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has installed multi-lingual announcement system to provide multi-lingual information at 12 Tokyo Metropolitan facilities that will be used as competition venues during the Tokyo 2020 Games.
This system displays announcements at competition venues in multiple languages on individual smartphones to enable non-Japanese speakers and individuals with hearing impairments to obtain information. The system increases safely, securely and convenience at the competition venues during the Games.
After the Games, the TMG will continue using this system for international competitions and other events to remove language and disability barriers. In this way the system will be one of the legacies of the Tokyo 2020 Games and help realise a harmonious and inclusive society in which everyone is able to live together comfortably.
