Initial Tokyo BRT services start!~Connecting the city center and the Rinkai area~
Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic, the initial services for the Tokyo BRT were postponed from the original start date in early May. The services will now begin on October 1.
※Disease control measures will be taken on the initial BRT services based on the guidelines published by the Nihon Bus Association on measures to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.

※No opening ceremonies or other events will be held to mark the start date.

(4)Service frequency and vehicles
- Service frequency: Peak hours on weekdays – 6 times an hour. Weekends, holidays and off-peak hours on weekdays – 4 times an hour.
※ The timetable is due to be published by the operator soon. - Vehicles:
(Standalone buses) Fuel cell vehicles, etc.
(Articulated buses) Diesel-hybrid vehicles.

The BRT connects Tokyo and the Rinkai area, coming in swift response to the rise in demand for transport between central Tokyo and the Rinkai area. It is a new form of public transport that will support the development of Tokyo’s localities.
