An Event for Visitors to Enjoy Sightseeing and Cuisine to Be Held

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau, in cooperation with tourism associations and other organizations, will hold an event where visitors can enjoy sightseeing and local cuisine from various parts of Tokyo at the Tokyo International Forum on November 21 and 22.

This event, dubbed “TOKYO Syukakusai 2026,” will offer the appeal of various parts of Tokyo gathered in one spot. While selling local specialties and providing tourism information, it will feature gourmet food trucks serving local cuisine, as well as sales of local sake, shochu, and craft beer.

Along with dining and shopping, the event will feature hands-on activities, including a 360-degree virtual reality tour of sightseeing spots across Tokyo via VR goggles, workshops for both adults and children to enjoy making traditional crafts, and an AI travel profiler: “Let our AI suggest the perfect Tokyo trip just for you!” Visitors can also enjoy foot baths and watch live demonstrations of Tokyo craftsmen making handicrafts.

This event will be held in the Forum’s outdoor plaza and lobby gallery from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on November 21 and from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on November 22.
