The World Economic Forum’s Davos Agenda
On Wednesday, January 27, Governor Koike attended the online session “Mobilizing Action on Climate Change” at the World Economic Forum’s Davos Agenda.
The Governor commented in the session, “In order to tackle both the COVID-19 crisis and the climate crisis, it is crucial that actions are taken not only at the national level, but by cities which are on the frontlines of these emergencies. For economic recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic, in addition to measures to counter climate change, Tokyo is advancing a “sustainable recovery.” Now is the time to act. Under this slogan, “Time to Act,” we wish everyone to accelerate effective action against climate change.
