The governor said, “Tokyo and Berlin have been friendship cities since 1994 and have enjoyed exchanges in various fields, including culture and sport. As the year 2019 marks the 25th anniversary of our friendship city relationship, I would like to further boost our ties.”
Ambassador von Werthern welcomed the friendship forged between Germany and Japan, and said, “Berlin and Tokyo are probably the two most attractive metropolises in the world today. I really hope that you will consider visiting Berlin.”
