2020 Accelerator Program for Asian Companies
In November 2017, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) formulated the "Global Financial City: Tokyo" Vision, with the aim of making Tokyo an unrivalled global financial center.
Accelerator program "FinTech Program: Asia meets Tokyo" held by TMG with the goal of inviting Asian FinTech startups with cutting-edge technologies and business modelsand deepen their knowledge of both Japan's unique market and the various needs of companies in the capital city. Furthermore, by providing Tokyo companies the opportunity to familiarize themselves with technologies possessed by foreign companies, the program aims to cultivate business matching.
This year, there were applications from 52 companies in 9 countries / regions in Asia, and the following 8 companies were selected as Asian FinTech startups to participate in this program. By holding business plan pitch event, mentoring and business matching, we supported to realize future business development in Tokyo.
