Tokyo–London Sustainable Finance Seminar 2026:Event Details and Call for Participants
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the City of London Corporation will jointly host the Tokyo–London Sustainable Finance Seminar 2026 to promote sustainable finance globally.
Against the backdrop of increasingly severe natural disasters in recent years, this seminar will focus on ‘resilience’. It will introduce the role of finance in creating a sustainable and resilient society, as well as the latest developments in preparing for the risk of natural disasters, drawing on insights and groundbreaking initiatives from both Japan and the UK.
The seminar will be held on Tuesday 27 October 2026 as part of Tokyo Sustainable Finance Week, a series of events focusing on the promotion of financial literacy and sustainable finance being held from Wednesday, 21 October to Friday, 30 October 2026. These events will bring together participants from a wide range of backgrounds, including financial institutions in Japan and overseas, to share and discuss global trends and leading initiatives by private-sector companies.
Everyone is welcome to participate – not only those working in the financial sector.
