Tokyo Financial Award 2026 Announcement of Companies Selected in the First-Round Screening for the Financial Innovation Category

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government invited ideas under the Tokyo Financial Award 2026 “Financial Innovation Category” for innovative financial services and technologies that contribute to improving the convenience of daily life for Tokyo residents.
 
As a result, a record-high total of 171 applications was received from Japan and overseas. Following a review by a panel of experts, 14 applicants were selected to pass the first-round screening.
 
The applicants that passed the first-round screening will further refine their business ideas through a support program that includes mentoring, business matching, and support for overseas information dissemination. They will then proceed to the final screening, which is scheduled to be held around January 2027.
