A Global Warming Prevention Plan for Sewerage Systems “Earth Plan 2023”
The Bureau of Sewerage is pleased to announce the formulation of Earth Plan 2023, a comprehensive global warming prevention plan for sewerage systems. Below are the details of this project.
About Earth Plan 2023
This comprehensive plan addresses global warming by accelerating decarbonization efforts within sewerage systems. It integrates climate change mitigation and energy measures tailored to the unique characteristics of these systems, with the ultimate goal of achieving Carbon Half by 2030.
Key Points of Earth Plan 2023
- Raise the target goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by more than 50% compared to the year 2000 by fiscal year 2030 and promote the introduction of advanced technologies such as energy-autonomous incinerators.
- Promote the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions using innovative technologies, such as perovskite solar cells and negative emission technologies that capture, use and store biomass-derived CO2, in order to achieve zero emissions by 2050.
