Governor Koike and Music Fans Enjoy a Concert and Make Their Brief Adieu to Yaon at Hibiya Park
On May 3, Governor Koike enjoyed a concert held at Yaon, an open-air concert hall, in Hibiya Park, together with 2,000 people, and later made their brief adieu to the hall, which is to undergo a renovation as part of the redevelopment of the park.
The free concert, held in Chiyoda City, Tokyo, was organized by the TOKYO MET SaLaD MUSIC FESTIVAL Executive Committee.
The governor noted that this time, there were 6,000 applications sent, wishing to attend the concert—SaLaD Spring Concert: Yaon de Orchestra (orchestra at Yaon)—with 2,000 people coming to the concert.
“As you all know, Yaon has been loved by people for many years. As Hibiya Park is under redevelopment in stages, including this open-air concert hall that is to be renovated from now on, we have to say goodbye to Yaon for a while. But I do hope you will look forward to its reopening.”
