Governor Koike Attends the ‘Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2025’ Award Ceremony
Governor Koike attended the award ceremony of Short Shorts Film Festival & Asia 2025, which is co-hosted by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG), at the LINE CUBE SHIBUYA public hall in Tokyo on June 11.
Governor Koike told the audience that the festival features works short in length and “for that reason their content is dense with emotions packed tight inside.” She also congratulated “Gaijin” for being selected as the best film in the “Cinematic Tokyo” category co-hosted by the TMG.
“In this world of cinema, Japan has been going strong recently,” Governor Koike said. “I believe this Short Shorts Film Festival is becoming an event with its award winners spreading their wings from Tokyo towards the world,” she added. “Moving forward, we would like to share memories, dreams and hopes together through films.”
