Tokyo 2020 Venues Tour
On Thursday, April 25, Governor Yuriko Koike welcomed participants of a tour of Tokyo 2020 Games-related facilities.
This event for ambassadors and embassy personnel took place around the Tokyo Bay area to introduce several Games venues and Tokyo’s newest ocean gateway, the Tokyo International Cruise Terminal, which are currently under construction there. Participants were able to view Tokyo in the final stages of preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Games.
Before they departed the Tokyo Metropolitan Government building to see the venues, Governor Koike chatted with them, and then in her greetings she acknowledged their contributions to the Tokyo 2020 Medal Project, which, thanks to their support, she expects to achieve its target. She went on to say that she hoped the facilities tour would raise their expectations for the success of the Games and looked forward to seeing everyone from their respective countries in Tokyo in 2020.
