Tokyo Signs Memorandum of Understanding with New York City Economic Development Corporation to Promote Cooperation
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is pleased to announce that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) to strengthen collaboration in promoting economic development.
The agreement is part of TMG’s startup strategy, Global Innovation with STARTUPS, to promote Tokyo-based startups on a global scale. By fostering direct exchanges with key overseas players, TMG aims to strengthen connections and collaboration with international startup ecosystems.
The MOU was signed between Tokyo Vice Governor Manabu Miyasaka, who visited New York in conjunction with the holding of "Tokyo 'SusHi' Night," a promotional event for the “SusHi” (Sustainable High City Tech Tokyo) initiative, and NYCEDC President and CEO Andrew Kimball.
