A New Song Added to ‘Tokyo Aqua Symphony’ with the Fountain Show Shifted to Evening/Night at Odaiba Park
To enhance the presence of the Tokyo waterfront area and further energize its vibrancy, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has been operating the “Tokyo Aqua Symphony,” a fountain show, at Odaiba Marine Park since March. On July 4, a new song was added to the show, with the performance time shifted to evenings and nights.
The added song is “Prime Memories,” an omnibus piece of music consisting of four songs: “Rhythm & Police,” “vs. ~The Spiral of Perception and Pleasure~,” “TRUTH,” and “Boléro IV ~New Breath.” With the addition, the performance program has increased from the previous five to six songs.
The summer performance schedule has also changed. Performances, which previously began at 11:00 a.m., have shifted to the early evening/night hours (from 3:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.), which allows visitors to enjoy the show—a combination of fountains, music, and light—along with the summer evening breeze.
To align with the program renewal and introduce the charms of “Tokyo Aqua Symphony” to a wider audience, TMG is also hosting an Instagram photo contest. The contest, themed “A photo that makes viewers want to visit the spot,” will run until September 6.
