Governor Attends the Opening Ceremony of ‘Taste of Tokyo 2025’

On October 24, Governor Koike attended the opening ceremony of “Tokyo Taste Festival (TASTE of TOKYO) 2025” held at the Marunouchi Building in Chiyoda Ward.

The governor stated, “Tokyo has been captivating the people’s stomachs globally with its culinary appeal. To disseminate the appeal of Tokyo-grown ingredients and food culture and further expand the base of enthusiasts for Tokyo food, we are organizing events uniquely worked out at each of the four venues: Marunouchi, Yurakucho, Hibiya, and Toyosu.

“This year, we have set up Marche Tokyo, markets featuring agricultural products grown in Tokyo, and provided food trucks serving dishes made with Tokyo-sourced foodstuffs while offering a log-cutting experience. Besides these, we have set up a booth for people to taste a selection of what can be called Tokyo’s local cuisine, such as Fukagawa-meshi (Rice with shelled littleneck clams) and chanko-nabe (hot-pot dishes primarily for sumo wrestlers). I hope everyone will enjoy the autumn, the harvest time, and the season when people have a good appetite, with all your five senses, at Tokyo Taste Festival 2025,” she said.
