Inspecting Next-Generation Mobility Systems

Governor Koike toured a waterfront park in Tokyo on October 7 to inspect next-generation mobility systems being deployed there.

 

Her tour was made a few days before  some of the services were made available to visitors, enhancing the ease of moving around  the Symbol Promenade Park and creating a livelier atmosphere there.
 
After the inspection, Governor Koike spoke well of the battery-powered “e-Palette” vehicle  due to shuttle inside the park from October 10. “It’s a very quiet ride. You can enjoy the surrounding scenery through the large windows, which is another plus,” she said.

 

“I expect it to become a form of mobility that lets the visitors experience the true appeal of the whole area by going around and stopping at other spots. including the Odaiba Marine Park.”

“Palette Marche ,” a converted e-Palette vehicle, was to open as a food and retail truck in the Symbol Promenade Park on October 10. Rental services for small scooter-like “C+walk” vehicles were set to begin in late November.
