Governor Koike Celebrates Tokyo’s Island Treasure at the 16th Tokyo Island Fair “Shima-jiman 2025”
On May 24, Governor Koike congratulated the 16th Tokyo Island Fair, “Shima-jiman 2025,” at the Takeshiba Passenger Ship Terminal on the Takeshiba Pier.
During the opening ceremony, Governor Koike said, "I would like to extend my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the 16th edition of this event." She also said, "Tokyo has 11 inhabited islands scattered across the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Each island boasts its own unique culture, natural resources, and distinctive treasures. We will continue to promote and refine these treasures in collaboration with all of you."
