Tokyo 2020 City Dressing and Spectaculars
As the host city for the Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is committed to building up excitement for the Games and leaving the world a vivid impression of the Games through effective decoration and exhibits.
Following the release of the Basic Plan for Tokyo 2020 City Dressing and Spectaculars in March 2019, the TMG has worked hard to prepare. After postponement of the Tokyo 2020 Games, the TMG revised schedules for city dressing with flags and banners, and installation of spectaculars as shown below.
1. City Dressing
Decorating major arterial roads, airports, and train stations with flags and banners designed with the look of the Games.
Please see Attachment 1(PDF:369KB) for more details.
2. Spectaculars
Installing displays of the Olympic and Paralympic symbols and statues of the Tokyo 2020 Mascots at major spots in Tokyo, Tokyo 2020 Live Sites, etc.
