Tokyo Metropolitan Government to Launch “Tokyo International Schools Portal”
Tokyo, October 23, 2025 – The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) announced today that it will launch the “Tokyo International Schools Portal,” a new resource aimed at supporting parents seeking international schools and school officials considering opening or expanding their institutions within the city. The initiative is intended to further improve the living environment for residents whose first language is not Japanese.
TMG is committed to promoting Tokyo as a global financial city by cultivating financial professionals and attracting global talent and businesses. This new website is as part of its efforts to create an internationally competitive environment for both business and living.

This initiative is part of the Tokyo 2050 strategy, specifically strategy 12: Global Finance, which aims to create a world-class environment for business and living and showcase it to the world.
