FY 2019 Disaster Preparedness Drill for Foreign Residents
On Tuesday, January 28, Governor Koike attended the Disaster Preparedness Drill for Foreign Residents, held at Musashino Forest Sport Plaza in Chofu City. This drill is held yearly for foreign residents, giving them the opportunity to learn about and experience disaster preparation and disaster mitigation.
In her greetings, Governor Koike said, “The Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 will be held this summer. As this will lead to many overseas visitors coming here, I would like you to learn how to protect yourselves if a disaster occurs,” and “I hope this experience will be useful for protecting yourself, your family, and those from overseas in an emergency.”
