Exhibits at Miraikan’s ‘Tokyo Mirai Park’ Renewed

To show how cutting-edge technology may transform our daily life in the future, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government renewed the exhibits at ‘Tokyo Mirai Park’ of Miraikan—the National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation—on June 17.

The Startup Strategy Promotion Headquarters of the TMG has organized the exhibits under the theme of “A Day in the Future,” centering on the flow of our daily lives from the moment we wake up in the morning through the time we go to bed at night.

The exhibits feature “Log Flower,” a digital plant that grows in response to the emotions it absorbs using the voice-emotion analysis AI “Empath”; the next-generation footgear concept model “MOBILARIA β”; the battle robot game “MECHALOT”; the virtual reality batting practice system “V-BALLER”; and “KAORIUM,” an AI-powered system to “verbalize” scents into words.

Furthermore, the lineup will include the mobile “mobility KITCHEN” and the “Sensor Bed,” which measures body movements during one’s sleep. The conversational AI robot “Romi” will serve as the exhibit guide.

Starting in mid-July, the general-purpose AI robot “Mi-Mo DevKit” is also scheduled to be on display.

“Tokyo Mirai Park” was established within Miraikan as a hub for communication and exchange for the “Tokyo Bay eSG Project”—a project envisioning sustainable urban development in the Bay Area looking 50 to 100 years into the future. It organizes exhibitions and hands-on experiences with cutting-edge technology, as well as workshops where people can explore the future with children.
