Governor Koike Holds Talks with Bangkok Governor Chadchart

On May 8, 2025, Governor Koike held talks with Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, who was visiting Tokyo.

Governor Chadchart said, “I am very happy to be here in Tokyo. Our cities face common challenges, such as disasters and tourism. I would like to learn from Tokyo’s experience and apply it in Bangkok.”

Governor Koike replied, “I would like to express my gratitude for your visit. When I visited Bangkok previously, I had an opportunity to view the city from a boat and received a very warm welcome. I commend your efforts to preserve such extensive green spaces in the city center. Earlier, I delivered an address at SusHi Tech Tokyo. The Thai exhibitors gave excellent presentations. Tomorrow, we will also hear a speech from Mr. Soopakij Chearavanont, chairman of the Charoen Pokphand Group. I hope this will serve as an opportunity to strengthen our partnership in the economy and agriculture, and among various startups.”
