2025 Japan-Taiwan Innovation Summit
On August 25, 2025, Governor Koike attended the “2025 Japan-Taiwan Innovation Summit,” hosted by Startup Island TAIWAN and held at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo in Chiyoda Ward.
The governor said, “Last May, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the event organizer, Startup Island TAIWAN, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen startup ecosystems collaboration. I am very pleased to see that the partnership between Tokyo and Taiwan is steadily accumulating for the development of ecosystems.
“Tomorrow’s summit is to be held at the Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB). TIB is a venue to serve as a ‘NODE’ connecting players from Japan and around the world. Through such venues as SusHi Tech Tokyo and TIB, let’s build a large bridge between Tokyo and Taiwan and create even greater innovations,” she said.
