Advisory Council Discusses Promoting Tourism in Tokyo
On February 10, Governor Koike attended the Advisory Council on Promotion of Tourism in Tokyo.
The governor remarked, "Tokyo is highly regarded worldwide as a tourist destination. In addition to securing second place in the Global Power City Index—surpassing New York—the city ranked first specifically for its nightlife options. I am grateful for the wide range of insights you shared at the advisory council on Tokyo's nighttime tourism, as well as for the positive outcomes emerging from these discussions.”
She continued, “Just last week, I visited Rome and Paris. As world-renowned tourist destinations, both cities employ innovative approaches from which Tokyo could learn a great deal. Drawing on these examples, I am committed to further evolving Tokyo's tourism."
