[TOKYO FORWARD 2025 for WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS] Announces Second Round of Event Programs

The “World Athletics Championships Tokyo 25 (WCH Tokyo 25),” the world’s pinnacle of athletic sports championships, will take place at the Japan National Stadium for 9 days from Saturday, September 13, through Sunday, September 21. During the Championships, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government will hold “TOKYO FORWARD 2025 for WORLD ATHLETICS CHAMPIONSHIPS,” a series of events to bring additional excitement to WCH Tokyo 25, with considerations for heat countermeasures.

In addition to the talk shows by Mr. Suguru Osako and other star athletes and an exclusive live performance by Little Glee Monster, announced at the first-round announcement, the event also includes a variety of programs that expose you to “Japan Entertainment,” such as Japanese calligraphy performance by Japanese calligrapher Ms. Bisen Aoyagi, and a live performance by Japanese traditional instrument musicians AUN J CLASSIC ORCHESTRA, to name a few.

In addition to various sports experiences, the Park Area in Meiji Park will feature contents for every generation to enjoy together, such as the “Ennichi” (traditional-style street fair) offering ninja star throwing, and food trucks utilizing ingredients produced in Tokyo.
