Ambassador and Representative of the Permanent General Mission of Palestine Visits the Governor
On Monday, November 14, Governor Koike met with Ambassador Waleed Siam, Representative of the Permanent General Mission of Palestine, at the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.
During the meeting, Governor Koike told the ambassador, “With the upcoming change of the US administration, it is now difficult to tell how the global order will unfold. As governor of Tokyo, I hope to deepen our ties with the Arab people and Muslim countries,” and also mentioned the Palestinian issue.
Ambassador Siam said that the governor had been involved in the Middle East peace process and that her continued support for the peace process, especially for solving the Palestinian issue, would be appreciated. He also expressed his wishes for the success of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
