Tokyo Data Highway Summit 2021
On Friday, January 21, Governor Koike attended the Tokyo Data Highway Summit 2021.
In her remarks, the governor said, “This year’s keyword is ‘light.’ This year, we will also advance the development of digital infrastructure at a high speed. I hope to further strengthen collaboration with telecommunications companies to realize a “connected Tokyo” where anyone can be connected anytime and anywhere. How we secure telecommunications lifelines and improve quality through 5G is an important topic in enhancing the quality of life of Tokyo residents. I would like to ask for your cooperation in two specific areas—further accelerating development of infrastructure in the Tama area and Tokyo Islands and response when a disaster occurs.”
