TIME TO ACT: Climate Action Forum
On Thursday, October 14, Governor Koike participated in the Time to Act: Climate Action Forum, where discussions on accelerating of efforts toward “carbon-half” by 2030 were held and shared with the world.
Governor Koike said, “There is no time to lose to confront the climate crisis. By pursuing all available options, we will establish policies to dramatically reinforce the measures taken by each entity and move Tokyo’s environmental policies to the next new stage. It is now ‘Time to Act.’ We must accelerate global climate action now. COP26 will be held at the end of this month. It is truly the firm actions, collaborations and partnerships of global entities, such as the speakers today, that will change the world. Tokyo will also take the lead in accelerating climate actions.”
