Governor Koike participating in the World Economic Forum’s virtual meeting
On Wednesday, May 13, Governor Koike participated in the World Economic Forum’s weekly virtual meeting of its COVID Action Platform.
When Mr. Børge Brende, President of the WEF, asked about the situation of COVID-19 in Tokyo, Governor Koike said, “I called upon the people of Tokyo to avoid the three Cs—closed places with poor ventilation, crowded places, and conversations in close proximity—and to refrain from going outside, so that person-to-person contact can be reduced by 80 percent, and to wash their hands to effectively prevent infection.”
