Ceremony for the completion of the new National Stadium
On Sunday, December 15, Governor Koike attended a ceremony for the completion of the new National Stadium. In her greetings at the ceremony Governor Koike said, “I hope to build even more enthusiasm for the Games with the people of Japan and the citizens of Tokyo. We will welcome the world with Japanese hospitality. We are firmly advancing preparations for the Tokyo 2020 Games to leave behind amazing records and memories.” Construction on all Olympic and Paralympic Games Tokyo 2020 venues will be finished with the completion of the Tokyo Aquatics Centre in February 2020.
