Governor Koike meets with the Chinese Ambassador to Japan
On Tuesday, July 30, Governor Koike met with H.E. Mr. Kong Xuanyou, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Japan. Governor Koike told the ambassador that the Tokyo 2020 Games, which will be underway exactly one year later, will be something amazing and that she intends to pass on this expertise to Beijing, which will be hosting the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. In response, Ambassador Kong said that Tokyo’s experience with the Tokyo 2020 Games and in fields including the environment and urban management would be useful to Beijing.
