Governor Meets with Alibaba Group Executive Chairman
On Wednesday, April 25, Governor Koike met with Mr. Jack Ma, Executive Chairman of Alibaba Group*¹ which is a Worldwide Olympic Partner*².
During their meeting, Mr. Ma said that he has faith in the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games, and hopes to utilize Alibaba’s information and communications technology to contribute to the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games and the development of Tokyo after the Games.
Governor Koike replied that “in preparation for the rapid aging of society after the Games, Tokyo is putting its efforts into the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games in order to build a barrier-free society.”
The two affirmed their cooperation for the success of the Tokyo 2020 Games and the Beijing 2022 Winter Games.
