Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Meets with Tokyo Governor and Thanks Her for Safe Haven
On April 11, Ukrainian Ambassador to Japan Sergiy Korsunsky visited the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building and met with Governor Koike. The Governor said, “It is truly painful to see the brutal situation in Ukraine. We would like to do whatever we can to ensure that those who come to Tokyo can live here peacefully”. Ambassador Korsunsky then said, “Tokyo’s government was one of the first municipalities in Japan to respond. I am grateful that people who have lost everything can find a safe place to stay in Tokyo”.
