Highlighting the City as a Hub at Tokyo Financial Award 2025
On March 2, Governor Koike attended the Tokyo Financial Award 2025 Ceremony at Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB).
The governor stated, “We received around 100 applications from Japan and about 200 from 36 countries abroad, marking the highest number of entries to date. While AI, blockchain, big data analysis, and other technologies evolve at an astonishing pace, interest rates, exchange rates, and stock prices face a shifting landscape. I believe that by combining new technologies with the power of finance, we can turn this wave of change into an opportunity and generate solutions for social challenges.”
She continued, “Tokyo aims to become a global financial hub that leads sustainable growth, and we will continue to advance our initiatives from multiple perspectives. From April 27 to 29, SusHi Tech Tokyo, an international innovation conference originating in our city, will finally begin. I look forward to seeing you there.”
