Encouraging 10th Cohort of APT Women at Final Presentation

On February 12, Governor Koike attended the final presentation session of the 10th cohort of the Acceleration Program in Tokyo for Women (APT Women) at Tokyo Innovation Base (TIB).

In her remarks, the governor noted, "To date, we have supported 320 individuals across 10 cohorts. Through this program, I believe each of you has gained management knowledge and skills and experienced tangible growth. I hope you will leverage the networks you have built with mentors, senior entrepreneurs, and fellow participants to further expand your businesses and even take them onto the global stage.”

She continued, “Last December, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government enacted an ordinance to promote women's empowerment, further advancing our efforts to create work environments in which women can fully express their individuality and potential.”

Concluding her address, the governor said, “Under the banner of ‘Women in Action’ (WA), we aim to expand the circle of women's advancement beyond Tokyo and across Japan. Your pursuit of new businesses and commitment to women's empowerment are exactly what this era calls for. It would be a great loss if women did not fully harness their power. We will continue to provide strong support to motivated women. Please keep aiming high."
