Announcing the Tokyo-London Financial Seminar 2024: Supporting London’s Overseas Asset Managers to Enter the Tokyo Market

 

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) is pleased to announce the joint hosting of the “Tokyo-London Financial Seminar 2024” together with the City of London.
Based on the December 2017 Memorandum of Understanding Between The City of London Corporation and Tokyo Metropolitan Government, we aim for both cities to develop and grow together as international financial centers as well as promote high-level opinion exchanges and co-hosted events. This seminar is part of the efforts to further these initiatives.
This will mark our 8th seminar and focus on the asset management industry. Tokyo is promoting initiatives to contribute to the growth of Japan and Asia as a whole through "sustainable growth" by bring about the fusion of finance and innovation as part of Tokyo’s goal of becoming a global financial city. The asset management industry plays an important role in the realization of this vision. The seminar features an address from KOIKE Yuriko, the Governor of Tokyo and Lord Mayor Professor Michael Mainelli, and will discuss recent trends in the Tokyo market as well as introduce support measures to help UK and overseas-based asset managers to develop their businesses in Tokyo.

* This agreement is one of the initiatives in the "Global Financial City: Tokyo" Vision, and covers collaboration between TMG and the City of London, the financial hub of London, in finance-related events, financial education programs, green finance, and other activities. *Following the seminar, there will be networking reception at the venue from 4:30pm to 5:30pm (will not be streamed online)

Overseas asset managers, other domestic and foreign financial industry related individuals, etc.

4.How to Apply

You may choose between in-person participation (space allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis) or viewing the event online. If you wish to participate, please register at the link.
