Visit by World Cities Culture Forum Chair Justine Simons
On March 4, Justine Simons OBE, Founder and Chair of the World Cities Culture Forum (WCCF), paid a courtesy call to Governor Koike. WCCF is the co-organizer of the World Cities Culture Summit 2026, which is scheduled to be held in Tokyo this October.
The governor stated, “Through its global network, the WCCF has expanded significantly and has contributed to the development of cultural policies. I am delighted that Tokyo will host its first World Cities Culture Summit.”
She continued, “Art and culture are indispensable to cities, as they bring hope to people’s hearts. As the host city, we are committed to working closely with all partners in the preparations and to deepening our cooperation to advance cultural policies together.”
